This route offers some incredible coastal scenery, with mighty cliffs and the 60-metre-high Old Man of Stoer sea stack.

It’s a top spot for spotting wildlife, so keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, porpoises, or even a minke whale out in the water.

The trail starts near the lighthouse, a solid beacon built way back in 1870 by the famous Stevenson family, who built most of Scotland’s lighthouses. The path can be rough and boggy in places, so you'll want sturdy boots for this one.

Your efforts are well worth it, with fantastic views of the wild Assynt coast opening up around you.

Parking is available near the lighthouse, making it a great starting point for exploring this rugged and unforgettable landscape.
